Buyers guide-Palm and Pocket PC

Trying to decide on a PDA? The first choice you have to do is to go running Palm OS or Pocket PC (Windows CE) system:
-Palm systems running operating system, called "Palm OS".
-System Pocket PC run "Windows CE" it looks and works much like the more familiar version of Microsoft Windows that you use on your desktop or notebook PC. Windows CE differs from most versions of Windows and usually does not work the same software, but to interact with other Microsoft programs.
Some features are a dead heat between Palm and Pocket PC s:
-As Palm and Pocket PC s may be contacted by the Office, calendar and to-do lists.
-Both Palm and Pocket PC s reasonably recognition in any case, it may take some getting used to.
-Both Palm and Pocket PC s have models available with digital cameras.
-For some models of Palm and Pocket PC s support for music, media, and MP3 (MP3 is supported on virtually all models). You need to verify the characteristics of individual models of exactly what features they offer.
-Internet access is available for most Palm and Pocket PC s.
Here are some reasons why the Palm:
-Palm systems are generally cheaper. This is because Palm OS devices often have less memory and a slower CPU.They can get away with this without you noticing, because Palm OS is highly optimized to run on low-end hardware.
-Palm systems are often lighter and smaller than s Pocket PC.Of course, this is not always the case, so you should check the specs on certain models, for comparison.
Systems, especially with slow processors, often spends between recharges the battery.
-Palm systems, in our opinion, a little easier to use.Pocket PC s use reduced version of the standard Windows interface, while powerful, can offer too many confusing options.
-Palm systems are simple and easy to use backup/restore feature, which starts automatically whenever you sync to your main computer.Pocket PC s does not back up automatically, so you need to remember to select an option.
And here are some reasons to select Pocket PC:
-Pocket PC s better integration with Microsoft Word and Excel, they can read your existing files, and it is easy to pass them through the Palm OS. does not have built-in support for Word or Excel, but there are third-party software without additional costs that can do the job.
-Pocket PC 's integration with Microsoft Outlook., again for Palm systems you need to download additional software, although in some cases, this software can be bundled with the Palm.
-Pocket PC s often have a wide range of WiFi and other connectivity options: of course you need to check the specs solo handheld computers that you are looking at.
Conclusions:
Of course, your opinions may differ, but for what it's worth, here's how I decide:
-I would choose Palm, if I wanted to just low-end PDA.
-If I wanted more power and connectivity options, I would look for Palm and Pocket PC systems.
-If any custom software business that want to run, and it was only a Palm OS and Windows CE (Pocket PC), of course, will dictate my choice.
As always I would like to double-check the specs any separate machines that I see is good (and some not so good) model, Palm and Pocket PC.
