A history of Psion

 
This morning I came across this article in the register that the story of the Psion, a British company that currently made handheld computers came Windows CE (for the predecessor of Windows Mobile) to be Chronicles. The article came to me about Michael Mace.

Few remember probably some of the innovative development enters years handhelds during the late 1980s and 1990s around chip design and the integration of the software with hardware.View the enthusiasm around the Asus Eee PC and HP mini note, I can't help but be reminded that Psion (HP, Atari and others) Asus and HP today do keyboard-based computer before nearly 20 Jahren.Was developed, is not new, it's just that it now existed a bigger market for these devices than at that time.

Another interesting tidbit in the article is the discussions between Psion and Microsoft. Psion wanted to make Windows CE devices provided that Microsoft would essentially disposal free licensing of Windows CE. Psion believed better handheld computers as Casio and Philips could develop, because detected defects with their development of drivers. When I this information relating to Microsoft's acquisition of danger, it makes me wonder whether it is on the acquisition of danger to ein-Over.Currently I believe handheld PC, a Psion Windows CE handheld had a hit from the Park and accelerated Microsoft's success with Windows CE.anstatt money on licensing, could Microsoft acquired very partial Psion and money on the hardware have or made.At the time Microsoft declined to get into the hardware biz all make more curious recent acquisition of danger.
